BALI DIVING

A pleasant warm climate averaging 27 C degrees all year round and good visibility in Bali's waters await every divers its impressive dive sites. The best time of the year for diving is the dry season from April to October; the wet season from November to March can quite torrential.

Even waters close to the shore, there are excellent diving and snorkeling areas teeming with a wide range of tropical fish. Dolphins, rays, Sperm and Blue Whales, sea snakes and moral eels are frequently sighted and reefs are in pristine condition.

The best place for diving and snorkeling in Bali are in the off shore waters of Padang Bay and Candidasa in the east, and at Tulamben and Amed. From Singaraja in the north, the coastal road leads west of Lovina and its beautiful beach. Further on is Pemuteran and in the western tip of Bali is Labuan Lalang, the kick off point to Menjangan Island, an uninhabited island with excellent dive sites. Nearly 7000 of coral reef and coastal waters are protected as part of the Bali Barat National Park, including Menjangan Island.

In the southern Bali, there is a reef in Sanur. The island of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida.
